Responsible gambling
Prediction games are designed as paid entertainment with a built-in margin for the operator. Most players lose money over time, and that is the expected outcome, not bad luck.
Before you play
- Decide a maximum loss and treat it as already spent
- Never play with borrowed money, rent, or funds you need
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit
- Never chase a loss with a bigger stake
Warning signs of harm
- Playing longer or for more than you planned, repeatedly
- Hiding play, spending or losses from people close to you
- Borrowing, selling things or using credit to keep playing
- Feeling anxious, irritable or low when not playing
- Believing a bigger bet will win the losses back
Tools that help
Most licensed platforms offer deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. Turn them on before you need them, not after.
Device-level blockers and removing saved payment methods add useful friction between an urge and a deposit.
Where to get help
Free, confidential support exists in most countries. In India you can contact a mental-health helpline such as Tele-MANAS on 14416. In the UK, GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Gamblers Anonymous has meetings in many regions.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
