Reading bonus and wagering terms before you accept
A bonus is a marketing cost with conditions attached. The conditions, not the headline percentage, decide whether it is worth taking.
Wagering requirements
A 30x requirement on a ₹1,000 bonus means ₹30,000 of turnover before a withdrawal is possible. At a typical house edge, the expected value of that turnover is often larger than the bonus itself.
Clauses that quietly void winnings
- Maximum bet size while a bonus is active
- Game weighting, where some formats contribute little or nothing
- Expiry windows measured in days or hours
- Maximum cash-out caps on bonus winnings
The simplest rule
If you cannot state the wagering requirement, expiry and cash-out cap in one sentence, do not accept the bonus.
